Today begins the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, shed to purchase for God men of every tribe and tongue, every people and nation, as we sang in this morning’s Officium (the name for the Introit or Entrance Antiphon in the Dominican Liturgy). Coming up soon at the end of the month is our Vocation Retreat. Some young women are already planning to attend, but we still have room for more. Are you (or is someone you know) interested in learning more about the contemplative Dominican life lived here in Marbury?
As cloistered Dominican Nuns we strive to give ourselves totally to God through a traditional monastic life of community, liturgical and private prayer, study and work. The chanting of God’s praise in the Divine Office, sung in Latin and English, and our special dedication to Eucharistic Adoration and Perpetual Rosary mark the hours of our day as we offer all to Jesus through Mary for the salvation of souls.
Is Our Lord drawing you to give yourself totally to Him in a life immersed in His Word, formed by the Liturgy, consecrated to Mary, and poured out for the salvation of souls? “Come and See!” The retreat is open to single Catholic women who are juniors in high school (or age 16) through age 27. Learn more on our Vocation Retreats page, or contact our Vocation Directress here.
